STAAD.foundation V8i (Release 5.1) is released
STAAD.foundation V8i SELECT series 2 (Release 5.1) is finally released. This version is a major update on version 5.0 and is specially focused on plant foundations.
Plant foundation mode has been revisited and enhanced to align the work flow with the practical needs of practicing engineers. Detailed drawings are updated with customizable drawing notes.
Bearing capacity factor table is introduced to apply load combination dependent bearing capacity.

STAAD.foundation Training May 6th., 2010
This course is an introduction to STAAD.foundation analysis and design software. Main topics include the layout of the STAAD.foundation interface, isolated footing design, pile cap design, design of MAT foundations (slab-on-grade), slab-on-piles, and combined footings. This course will focus on the American Concrete Institute (ACI) 2005 code. A short introduction to the plant modules will also be provided if time permits.

STAAD.foundation V8i SELECT series 3 (Release 5.2) is now available on SELECT to download. Version 5.2 is a major update on version 5.1. This version tries to close the gap in terms of number of modules supported by different codes.

An update on STAAD.foundation SELECT Series 3 (version 05.02) was just released. Its available on SELECT server under Enhancements and Updates.Although this download is described as a patch to version 5.2, it includes some very significant enhancements.

STAAD.foundation V8i SELECT series 4 (Release 5.3) is now available on SELECT to download. The Version 5.3 release is a part of STAAD integrated release series and it takes STAAD.Pro integration to a completely new level. STAAD.foundation is now installed with STAAD.Pro and can be opened directly from the STAAD.Pro environment.

Second update on STAAD.foundation 5.3 just released
Second Update on STAAD.Foundation 5.3 is released. For those who are using standalone version of the software, this patch will update the program to version 05.03.00.28. For those who installed the program along with STAAD.Pro, this patch will update the program to version 05.03.00.29.

STAAD Foundation Advanced, has been recently released
A new generation of Foundation analysis and design software, STAAD Foundation Advanced, has been recently released. It replaces the STAAD.foundation software with more design codes, more functionality to basic modules, and new advanced modules.
It is very important to note that this is not an automatic update from old STAAD.foundation software. The license for STAAD Foundation Advanced is different than the license used in STAAD.foundation. So, to run this program, existing users of STAAD.foundation need to contact their respective Bentley sales representative to get a new license.
